It is all Vs Tuska, my guess is that everyone will be forced to be a part of the identical team against Tuska or form several different God teams that can compete against eachother (through PvP with some luck and possibly in some other non-PvP ways) for prestige and glory but the ultimate aim will remain beating Tuska. That's how I feel it's going to be it could be massively unfair considering it's going to be Gods + the Godless against team Tuska.(The Old School RuneScape staff are considering an ironman mode too, which produces a whole lot of feel as ironman's popularity actually grew out of the OSRS community. If you're an Old School player keep an eye on the OSRS dev blogs and forums to join that conversation once it starts soon.) At this early stage, we'd love your comments and to get some dialogue going over the perfect ruleset to get ironman. Here's an outline of the principles and game mechanics we're considering so far:
Ironman mode begins with a freshly created personality. Once entered to the ironman manner, it cannot be turned off. When in ironman manner you: can't trade with other players. Cannot use the Grand Exchange (except for buying Bonds -- ironman your way to membership!) Can't pick up drops from players. Can't pick up drops from monsters you have not killed. Cannot participate in multiplayer minigames. Cannot be affected by group buffs (e.g. clan avatar). Cannot acquire resources or equipment from Treasure Hunter. Cannot be assisted or take aid. Can't buy items in shops which were provided by others. Can't join a Dungeoneering team (just solo permitted ). Cannot use the group system when it launches
Players in ironman mode would have a distinctive chat badge, maybe a skull (like the mod crown or VIP star). We will need to locate a way to allow ironman players to complete Shield of Arrav and Heroes Quest solo. As a stretch target, we'd consider a hiscore table filter to only show ironman players. Along with a last twist: an extended mode for the bravest of the brave - Hardcore Ironman! Also requires a freshly created character. Just your hiscore stays. Hardcore ironman style would demonstrate another chat badge (possibly a red skull).
That is what we've obtained so far. Please let us know if you can think of some other concerns or ways to make this even more fun! I like the idea of the 1 life item. That's how I thought the game was initially and once I died to a prison guard I thought the match was finished. I thought we'd just collect the best ways to earn money here, so that you can afford top of the line equipment and everything. This is not for meI just see those that are comparatively low leveled ask this in the cc and it'd be wonderful to have somewhere to direct them to. Yes, there is a money making issue somewhere but it's obsolete.
And now the list is incomplete clearly. Beginning: Do daily warbands and slayer till you reach 81 slayer and/or 85 herblore. AFK but necessitates Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf pursuit. Look out for loot beams periodically. Leaving a clan or friends chat may help since the beam lasts only 10 seconds but the message alerting you of a beam stays in the chatbox forever, but might be pushed out by chat dialog. Avoid use of degradables.
